GEYEDANCE at the iSMIT 2024

The 35th iSMIT 2024 meeting took place from 26 to 28 September 2024 at the Jesús Usón Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre (CCMIJU) in Cáceres, Spain.

The International Society for Medical Innovation and Technology (iSMIT), the CCMJU, the International Foundation of Computed Radiology and Surgery (IFCARS), the Spanish Society for Surgical Research (SEIQ), the Spanish Society of Laparoscopic Surgery and Surgical Robotics (SECLA) and the Spanish Society of Biomedical Engineering (SEIB) organised a scientific program to advance the field of Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) and related technologies.

The core themes of the congress included advances in MIS, innovation in robotic surgery, biomedical engineering, biomaterials and regenerative medicine for personalized medical treatments, 3D printing for surgical assistance and the use of key and immersive digital technologies in healthcare.

GEYEDANCE was represented at the prestigious event by:

Riccardo Muradore (UNIVR): “Robotics+AI in the surgical domain: Challenges and Potential.”

Session: Innovation in robotic surgery and automation

September 26, from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Gernot Kronreif (ACMIT): “Surgical Robotics – What’s next?”

Session: Advances in robot-assisted surgery

September 27, from 12:30 p.m. -1:30 p.m.
