GEYEDANCE at the AAO 2024

The Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) 2024 was held in Chicago, Illinois, United States between 18-21 October 2024.

The AAO brought together ophthalmologists, practice management, patients, eye physicians, surgeons, and members of the public from the US and abroad. The annual conference dedicated to the advancement of the profession of ophthalmology.

The AAO 2024 ran parallel to the AAO 2024 Expo and the Subspecialty Day, showcasing the latest innovations in products, technologies and ophthalmology services. The exhibition consisted of various activities like workshops and live demonstrations of the latest advancements, as well as side events and award ceremonies, recognising forward-thinking young professionals and their accomplishments. The congress programme offered extensive and informative content, including seminars, debates, round tables and expert-led masterclasses.

Furthermore Prof. Busin and Prof. Dr. Marco Mura hosted a dissemination meeting to provide updates on new products and research developments including GEYEDANCE. Prof. Busin also presented the project in a lecture entitled: “INTRA-KER Keratoprosthesis: Preliminary Results of First-In Human Trial of an Intracorneal Prosthesis” at the Cornea and Eye Banking Forum on 18th Oct. 2024 in Chicago, IL, USA.
