COSUR 2024: Summer School on Control of Surgical Robots

The COSUR PhD Summer School targets PhD students interested in the multidisciplinary field of robotic surgery. Following the success of the previous editions (2016-2018-2022), this year’s event takes place at the University of Verona in Italy from 15 to 18 July 2024.

The aim of the school is to bridge the gap between robotic surgery and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and provide a roadmap to the next generation of autonomous surgical robotic systems.

Main topics:

CONTROL: teleoperation and control algorithms for surgical robots

SIMULATION: surgical simulation and advanced control with reinforcement learning

SENSORS: surgical sensors for advanced perception

AUTONOMY: cognitive architectures for high-level autonomy in robotic surgery

The school offers participants a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge of robotic surgery and to establish fruitful research collaborations with leading experts.
