Conference on New Technologies for Computer- and Robot Assisted Surgery (CRAS 2025), the 14th edition

The 14th edition of the Conference on New Technologies for Computer/Robot Assisted Surgery (CRAS 2025) will be hosted by the University of Lisbon, Portugal, from September 10–12, 2025.

Surgical robotics continues to transform medical practice by introducing tools that enhance safety, precision, ergonomics, and consistency in surgical procedures. Over the past thirty years, millions of patients have benefited from robot-assisted surgeries.

This year’s conference welcomes contributions in several cutting-edge areas, including:

  • Virtual and augmented reality for surgical training, planning, and intraoperative guidance
  • Innovative approaches to delivering effective haptic feedback
  • New devices, technologies, and techniques for minimally invasive and complex surgical tasks
  • Applications of artificial intelligence in surgical planning, guidance and autonomous operations

Prof. Dr. Riccardo Muradore, Dr. Nicola Piccinelli (ALTAIR Robotics Lab, Department of Engineering for Innovation Medicine, University of Verona), and Dr. Gernot Kronreif (ACMIT) are among the members of the CRAS 2025 Organizing Committee.
